Vision of the conference
“The Bible is the saga of Yahweh and Adam, the prodigal son and his ever- gracious heavenly father; humanity in their rebellion and God in his grace. This narrative begins with Eden and does not conclude until the New Jerusalem is firmly in place. It is all one story. And if you are a believer, it is all your story.... Until a believer is able to organize what they know about the [Bible] meaningfully, they cannot use it.... Facts are stupid things until brought into connection with some general law.” — Sandra L. Richter, The Epic of Eden This reflects the focus of the 2026 DNG Children’s Workers Conference: We want to help teachers of the Bible see the “big picture”—the grand narrative that stretches from Eden to the New Jerusalem—and to discover the structure that gives coherence, beauty, and depth to every part of Scripture. Our strategy in this conference is going to be this: to identify the “general law” that brings order to the whole message of the Bible, and to help you rearrange what you already know so that you can use it with clarity and confidence as you teach children in your local church.
